MY ROUGH LIFE

The past couple christmases and birthdays my aunt and uncle have decided that, instead of getting me a gift, they would make a $50 donation to a charity in my name. I am 100% all for charity donations for gifts, I think they’re wonderful. My aunt and uncle, however, instead of making donations to any one of the many charities I am passionate about (and it is no secret that I’m passionate about them, my whole family knows) have decided to make all of the donations to a charity supporting their church in New York. Not only do I not live anywhere near New York, but I’m not even Christian. Come on? If you’re going to make a donation in someone’s name as a gift, try to at least make it meaningful to that person. -Diana
