This one needed multiple angles to fully capture it in all its majesty. I’m a freshman in college and just recently finished writing not one, but two lengthy papers on the Lakota Sioux Indians and the disastrous state of the reservation on which they live in South Dakota. I can honestly say I feel quite strongly about the subject, especially when added to the fact that my great grandmother was a full-blooded Mi’kmaq Indian. (I don’t look the least bit like a Native American, though.) Needless to say, I was a bit taken aback when my mother came home from the mall about a week ago and presented me with this “early Christmas present.” In case the text in the pictures isn’t clear enough, that’s Wolf Robe in the top left hand corner, followed by Chief Joseph, Geronimo in the center, Sitting Bull, and Red Cloud. And if the quote on the back doesn’t make you feel like the scum of the earth, I don’t know what would! Oh, yeah, and she also suggested that I might wear this to class for all my friends and teachers to see. Well… I agree with this shirt’s sentiment, I’ll give her that, but in the end I wound up thanking her for a lovely pajama top. -Julia
